  •  Jerome de Groot (University of Manchester) is a Professor of Literature and Culture at University of Manchester and he was the Chair of Manchester UNESCO City of Literature consortium from 2016 to 2019. He has authored a number of historical books including Remaking History (Routledge, 2015) and Consuming History (Routledge, 2008/16)

  • Diana Wallace (University of South Wales) is Professor of English at the University of South Wales. Her research interests are in women’s writing (particularly the inter-war period), historical fiction, Modernism, Welsh writing in English, and the Gothic. 

    Her monographs include Female Gothic Histories: gender, history and the Gothic (University of Wales Press, 2013), The Woman’s Historical Novel: British Women Writers, 1900-2000 (Palgrave, 2005), and Sisters and Rivals in British Women's Fiction, 1914-39 (Macmillan, 2000). Currently she is working on a study of Modernism and historical fiction entitled Writing the Past: Modernism and Historical Fiction.
